Jutta Michels

Who is Jutta Michels?
Jutta Michels (1962–2025, born in Düsseldorf) studied design technology with a focus on color and spatial design, as well as architecture, at Leibniz University Hannover from 1986 to 1994. After graduating, she taught in the fields of art, design, and architecture until 2022.
While still a student, she co-founded the art group NIC , which received the Verden district's special art prize for installation and sculpture in 1990. In 2000, she opened her studio in Ahausen and ran a children's art school there until 2012. She participated in exhibitions such as the Verden Art Fair and was featured in the first Verden Art Calendar in 2001.
In 2005, she initiated the Rotenburg Painting Night and was part of the organizing team of the "Ahauser Herbst" cultural mile from 2007 to 2014. Since 2006, she has regularly participated in international workshops in Germany, Poland, and Ukraine.
Unfortunately, we lost our artist and friend to illness this year, which is why we decided to donate the proceeds from the sale of her artwork to German cancer research.
