Who is Agata Urbanska-Krasowska?
Agata Urbańska-Krasowska , born on September 24, 1980 in Bydgoszcz, graduated from the Bydgoszcz Art High School, taking second place at the national graduation exhibition. She studied graphic design (lithography) and painting at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, graduating with honors in 2005 and receiving the Prof. Ryszard Krzywka Prize. Her works have been exhibited in Kraków and Thessaloniki. She graduated in 2007 with a degree in communication design, later completing postgraduate studies in education and taking courses in artistic ceramics.
She has taught drawing, painting, and ceramics—including in art therapy and for the visually impaired—and leads workshops in cultural centers, libraries, and adult education centers.
For her, painting and sculpture are forms of expression that visualize her thoughts. She is particularly fascinated by the moment when a work takes its final form. She often begins with just a sketch or an emotion and then lets the process guide her until the image or sound takes on the appropriate form.
